We called AAA immediately...
thankfully they got someone to her in less than an hour.

The tow truck driver had already alerted the closest AAA Car Care center to let them know she was on her way.

I left from our home about two hours away to meet her there.

Tom met my daughter upon her arrival.
Seeing she was visibly upset, he got her settled in their lounge and

then called to let me know she had arrived safely.

Tom kept me updated throughout the day about her car, and also how my daughter was doing. It turned out that her car would need the drive belt replaced, which meant the car would have to stay.

I may have been skeptical of a mechanic's diagnosis
anywhere else, but

AAA has mobile technology that showed visuals of what they found, which helped make complicated repairs easy to understand.

We received a fair estimate and Tom made sure we knew all of our options.

The Car Care center closed at 6 p.m. I was on target to get there by 5:30 p.m. but there was heavy traffic due to the storm. It was then that Tom really won my heart over when he said he'd wait with my daughter until I arrived.

"I've got a daughter too,"

he said.

I can't tell you how much it meant to me to know that our daughter was in a safe place and someone was keeping an eye out for her.

I arrived just before 6 p.m. Tom and his crew met me at the door, and then helped us move all my daughter's dorm room belongings from her car into mine -- they even managed to get her to
laugh a little!

Tom kept me apprised over the next couple of days of the progress

We drove back to the Car Care location that weekend
to pick up her car.
