Celebrity Cruises

Beautifully decorated ships have a modern but comfortable vibe. The focus is on trendy culinary experiences, hi-tech educational workshops (think Mac tutorials) and an onboard brand partnerships like the Canyon Ranch spa you’ll find on most ships. The ships are mid-sized, carrying just up to 3,000 passengers on its largest ship, Celebrity Reflection. The ships are big enough to offer plenty of dining, entertainment and drinking options for the most demanding cruisers, but small enough to not seem overwhelming or overcrowded. Their cruise ships boasts numerous specialty dining restaurants, a multimillion-dollar investment in art and the gorgeous Lawn Club, where passengers can spread out on real grass.

Disney Cruises

Anything with the name “Disney” in it, screams family and the Disney Cruise Line is no exception. Onboard activities such as deck parties and character meet and greets are geared toward family fun. But, there are special adults-only areas where grown-ups can escape thwidgete kids to enjoy a spa treatment, fine dining or nightlife. The excellent kids program onboard allow parents to do just that.

Disney Cruise Line deploys 4 ships with an emphasis on Caribbean sailings. They also offer select sailings to Alaska, Europe, Hawaii, Bermuda, northeast Canada and the Panama Canal.

Holland America

Holland America Line began in 1873 as the Netherlands-America Steamship Company, a shipping and passenger line. It offers a more traditional style of cruising that appeals to a seasoned cruiser. The crew is known for their understated professionalism. Passengers can participate in enriching lectures, ballroom dance lessons, bingo, afternoon tea and more. One of the more unique offerings is the Culinary Arts Center where you can attend cooking demonstrations and take part in hands-on cooking classes.

Princess Cruises

Princess Cruises was the original “Love Boat” of the television series of the same name that aired back in the eighties. It helped make cruising popular for the mainstream. It’s well-known for its onboard educational programs, that tie-in with the destination. For instance, you can take part in traditional Maori art performances in New Zealand, take ukulele lessons on the ship in Hawaii or hear a lecture on the history of the Panama Canal.

Princess has 18 ships that sail to over 380 destinations on seven continents. They have an award-winning cruise tour program in Alaska that allows you to cruise the coast of Alaska for part of your trip, then travel inland to see Alaska’s land-based sights, like Denali National Park.
